Wildcat efi track extension

I have a 96 wildcat efi that I am looking to extend the track on. I have a 136" sc10 skid out of my 96 touring LE that threw the crank. My plan is to mount that skid into the cat (will have to extend tunnel) and throw a 136"x15x1.6 lug track on it. First of all, will that track clear the front exchanger? And next, I never took the measurements from the skidoo tunnel. Does anyone know the eye to eye distance for the rear and front mounts? And then front to drive shaft. And, could I use a spot welder to join the aluminum for the tunnel extension?

First, you wont care for the SC10 with 10" of travel compared to like any 97 and newer Cat! No you cannot spot weld the allum tunnel! Pop rivet instead!

I would love to go with a longer travel 136 skid, but I just don't have the cash for it.

Hit the swap meets this fall! I personally am looking for a 136 ZR skid or powder special or if I can find one a Cross Fire 136 X 15!

Wildcat efi track extension

I came up with an even better idea today. I am going to buy 136-151 rail extensions to go on the sc10 skid. Will a 1.5" paddle track work with this sled? And please if anyone knows, I need the measurements for this skid.

Wildcat efi track extension

I decided to dump the sc10 and buy a newer 159 skid off a Polaris rmk. My question now is: since I'm jacking up the rear suspension, is there a way to raise the front on this sled? Also need to know if a 1.5" lug will clear my from heat exchanger.

No the 1.5 wont clear! You would have to roll the chain case! And go with the 8 tooth drivers! You could find longer shocks, have different A arms made?

I have never done any serious mods to a sled before. How do I go about rolling my chaincase?

The 1.5 will clear with a little room to spare, you just will not be able to use studs unless you go to smaller drivers.
