1992 Prowler problems with ground, CDI, etc.

Hi guys and ladies,
Well I picked up this sled several years ago and it's been sitting on the back burner until now. It's a 1992 440 carbed Prowler with 2300 miles on it.
Here are my questions and issues:
1- I'm not getting spark, so I'm trying to find where the ground wire attaches so I can clean it and still can't find it, so where does it mount? Not much room in there at all.
2- I tried jumping the black and brown wire and still nothing.
3- I removed and cleaned the carbs and replaced all of the fuel lines and installed a new fuel pump. I'm getting fuel and oil to the engine, but just no spark
4- Do you think it's the CDI if the ground is good?
5- Had a bad kink in the throttle cable, so I'm replacing that since it would stick and not release. How do you get the cover off the handlebars?
6- Stator issues?
7- Coil issues?
8- How do you disconnect the jet needle from the throttle valve? How is the plate attached where the large spring sits?

I'm a newbie to snowmobiles but not to doing mechanical work, so any help would be appreciated.
I downloaded the manual and I hope that will help with some of the issues.

Thank you

I believe the ground is near the recoil housing i would just trace the ground wire coming from the stator

Did you test for spark with Just the 4 way disconnected?

So, far with just the 4 way plug with the jumper wire and nothing at all happened. I thought if that gives you no spark then that rules out the TSS.

5 Handle bar cover comes off if you remove the two screws under the speedo at the bottom and pull the two buttons at the bottom on the front side.
8 Pull the big spring back from the top of the throttle slide the plate is loose and will drop out. Remove the throttle cable. Needle pulls out from top of slide. Dont loose the round magnet in there it makes the TSS switch work.

Ground runs from front recoil mounting bolt to exhaust mounting bolt on right side.

I tried forever without the jumper, with no spark or even a hint of it starting.

I can't wait to get this thing running.

Tried testing with the voltmeter and I'm getting nothing except a few readings that quickly run down to zero at all the connector. I hope to get the stator and the used snowmobile shop has a good one. UGH we are just starting to get snow up here.

Update!
Changed the stator, throttle cable (bent inside and wouldn't return), changed coil, cleaned ground.
Still no spark.
Did all of this and tried starting it with no spark again.
Getting ready to take it in and I hate giving up on it.
I will try bypassing the TSS and see if I get any spark.

Anything else I should check????
