AC ZL550 ESR drive bearing change question

Hi all,
I've undertaken the job to replace my lower drive bearings after the speedo side bearing failed.
After reassembling the dropcase gears/cover I looked under to set the lock collar on the speedo bearing and noticed that it is roughly shifted 1/16" towards the dropcase from where it was originally.
Is this an issue? Should I take apart the dropcase and try and shift it back somehow? Thanks much,

Welcome to the Snow Show!
Yes take it back apart abit! The speedo side needs to be flush with the end of shaft, then lock the collar down! Then put the lower gear on, this is what 'pulls' the tunnel together!
