I need to change to chain case oil in the 04 Pantera (with reverse) and I was wondering if it takes the same oil used in non reverse models? I use Maxima brand synthetic snowmobile chain case oil in the other Cats and I have it on my shelf as we speak.

I just drained the oil and what came out was filthy and dark brown in color so I've decided to refill with ATF, put a few miles on it then dump it and refill. Ill do this a few times till the ATF comes out clean then refill with the Maxima.
