ZR 580 track/chassis questions

First off I'd like to thank kccats for getting my sled going again last year with his fuel pressure regulator. Anyway, I own a 97 ZR 580 EFI and we are finally starting to get some snow up here and I would like to get a new track. I was looking at getting a 1.25" Ripsaw track with 144 predrilled holes for studs. I'm not 100% sure that studs will have clearance though, so if anyone had any insight on this that would great. Secondly, my front end seems very light going into corners. Every time I go into a corner the inside ski lifts. I only weight about 170 lbs, and it seems like it handles ok otherwise, besides the ski lifting. I had the front shocks professionally rebuilt last year but that didn't seem to help. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

Studding your track should be no problem. You can decrease the preload on the shock spring on the front of the rear skid to increase ski pressure.

The 1.25 might be a bit over kill for that 580? But a 1" with 96 1.25 studs would be perfect! You will want atlest 6" of carbide up front too!

Thanks for the replies. I guess I didn't realize that .25" of track made that much of a difference. I already rock 6" of carbide up front. To decrease the preload do I higher or lower the limiter strap up front, or am I looking at the wrong issue?

Leave the strap alone, back the spring tension adjuster on the shock down one turn.

Yeah start with adding Preload to the front springs, Test! Then Tighten the limiter strap and Test! Then possibly get a different front sway bar!
