I pulled the oil pump off of my 95 zr580 (carb) today to replace a stripped bolt. I noticed when I pulled the oil pump off, that there was coolant behind it. Is the coolant supposed to reach the back of the oil pump, or do I need to look at the seal on the waterpump side?

No coolant! Pull the mech seal behind the water pump! That seal is like $35!

Thanks for the help. I guess I will be ordering a new seal today. 9" of snow and falling at my house!
