SCORE!

Check out where that sucker was. Lodged in there as well. Must've closed the clutch cover and ripped that off and not of noticed.

Just got that sucker back on after stripping down the wire a little bit.

Just need to finish getting the recoil back together, and get it back on the sled, and it should fire right up.

As for my other question. Those three wires on the CDI that go to nothing, just leave them alone?

Thanks for all the input.

Would make a new thread, but i'll just bump this one. Not related to the plug wire, but to the recoil. Going to put it on tomorrow, but i have a question.

Where do i run it? I've attached a picture. The red circle is where the recoil comes in from the handle, and the blue circle is what i believe is just a brake. Do i run the recoil rope over the top of that or off on the side or what?

The rope should not be touching anything or going over anything. You need to feed it threw and out to where It's normally located

The pull rope will need to be threaded behind the brake and under the jack shaft, then through the loop in the console panel.

The recoil houseing should have the 4 marks on the hole as to which position it should be clocked, (same recoil fits all older Cats). It should be slightly up from the 9 oclock position? With in place look threw the cowling hole and you should see the path it needs to go! I believe just behind the brake!

Edit:

Answered my own question. Got the recoil back on, and two pulls later she fired right up.

She's currently running for the first time in about two months and is purring like a cat.

Thanks for all the help.
