I have a sled that won't pull fuel to the carbs. I know the pickup is not clogged and there is fuel in the tank. the pickup is submerged. If I presurize the tank with compressed air, I can start the sled, but it won't fill the lines and as soon as I stop pumping air into the tank it will kill the engine. I have replaced the impluse line. Am I looking at a fuel pump or at least a rebuild? Any other suggestions?

Take the pump apart and atleast clean it? The rebuild kit is like $5!

Like KC said. They are not difficult to rebuild. With the age of yours, make sure you scribe a mark across the edge of the pump so you can put it back together the same way it came apart. The newer ones were marked, but a lot of the older ones didn't have any...
