Pretty nice sled. roughly 120ish HP stock. Depending on the year should have the wider zr a-arms. I bought my buddies after he melted a piston/jug.

As long as you do normal things like keep the jetting correct and regular maintenance it should be fine. depending on miles you may want to consider the water pump eventually.

Its a cool little triple im sure it can be bored out to a 700 too

Prob the best small bore sled! Great suspension, real good power, really fairly light for age and power! Capable of 170hp!

Its not uncommon to have ten psi differencebut between cylinders. Its just a little to low

Rebuild for sure. My zrt hit about 5000 miles and one of the piston skirts broke off. Those motors are known for that happening at that mileage. That compression is low. After a rebuild and some tuning those zrt 600's are a force to be recond with!!! I still miss mine. If you do buy it I have a few tricks to give you some extra horsepower without spending money with just a little bit of elbow grease!!!

To be honest with you I didn't know the skirt broke off until I tore it down for a rebuild. It was a little down on power and the compression was a little low on that cylinder. I got lucky though because the pieces got spit out of the exhaust before it did any damage. Not even a scuff on the cylinder wall. I could see where the pieces made a few laps around the crank but no damage at all. Make sure the guage your using is accurate. It wouldn't hurt to try another guage. I had to trash one a few years ago because it was way off. Like I said thats right at the miles for a top end for that motor. You heard right you should be able to get alot more miles out of the bottem end.

At 5500 miles it needs pistons if it hasn't been done. You will not see much over 115lbs on a fresh top end on the ZRT6 because it has a high exhaust port. Great little engines.

Most ALL 2 strokes will see a benifit from a rebuild at about 3-3500 miles! I can look up a cost for you complete with seals and gaskets!!

Dad has a 01 ZRT 600 LE and when I had my 04 F6 Sno Pro and my cousin has a early build F6. That lil ZRT was hard for us to beat in a race. It comes out of the hole like a beast and screams in mid-Rang and Top end
