Talking Fuel Injector/Stator issue 97 ZR 580

I have a 1997 Arctic Cat ZR 580 EFI; I had the stator rewound and have to pull it back out and have it done again. I believe I also have an injector issue; when initially started it runs at high RPM for several minutes before it spools down. After running; if you turn it off and attempt to restart, it appears to flood out, if you pull the injector plugs, let it run out of fuel, connect the plug, it starts back up. Or atleast it did until the stator went again. I bought it used for my sons to ride two years ago and have not been able to hardly use it. I have priced out new injectors, however I do not want to spend $320 apiece for them. Does anyone by chance no of another option. I read a thread from another person and it mentioned there is a person South of Morris that possibly works on used injectors; does anyone know who this may be? I had a friend who had a ZR back in 97, I really enjoyed riding it then, not so impressed with the one I have currently. I don't mind working on it, I just am attempting to make a couple of steps forward. I would appreciate any information that can be provided. Thank you in advance.

It could be a computer issue. How did it cook the stator again?

The fueling issue is no problem, I have made up an adjustable fuel presure regulator complete with gauge! And as for the stator Blaine1 does rewind them and has all the test procedures!

I am not quite sure yet; I have to still remove it; it is up north in Wis.

Actually Blaine is the person who rewound the stator; I have communicated to him already. I am going back up north soon and will remove it and send it back to him. Can you tell me how to go about checking/testing the fuel system?

To test simply put a T in the supply side and run a line to gauge. Your fuel presure when running should be 36psi, I bet you're about 40!
