Is the Arctic Cat ZR 570 reliable? Are the fan sleds any good?
Looking to buy a 2nd sled which would be for my gf and my buddy is selling his 2003 ZR 570 with 4k miles and just put a brand new motor in it earlier this year? I pretty much care for reliability since and not speed, so a few questions:
1. Is it reliable?
2. Are fan sleds are any good?
3. Overall, is it a good sled?
4. Whats it worth? The condition is LITERALLY MINT

Yes they are a good reliable sled! Just not the fastest ZR out there! But it is still a ZR!
As for what its worth, location makes a big difference! But a fan with 4k on a 03 and a NEW motor, should be worth $ 1800 - 2000

ZL= plush/cushy ride.
ZR= stiffer more aggressive ride.

Well, since they didn't make a 2003 ZR 570 it has to be a Z 570. Basic trail sled similar to the ZL.

Are you 100% sure they didnt make a zr 570 in 03 and if it is a Z 570, how much is that worth?

My good friend has a z570. Great machine! Plenty of power for the trails. More than a liquid cooled Indy 500. And way better ride than the Indy. Just make sure mice don't build a nest between your engine and shrouding. That will kill a fan engine.

Um.... let's not mislead a noob here...
The Z570 is a fan cooled motor. Any ZL will be a liquid cooled motor. That's a WORLD of difference... far from "similar to the ZL".

A quick run down of differences between the z compared to a zl/Zr.
No torque sensing link
lighter duty aluminum slide rails
lighter duty rear torsion springs
non adjustable / non rebuildable shocks all around
Non adjustable front coil overs
basic light duty blow molded plastic skis
no tach
Warmers are on/off not hi/low
Tunnel design is from the late 90s chassis (narrow, non reinforced foot boards)
Correct me if I'm wrong....
