600 tripple flooding

600 tripple with 34 mikuni carbs is getting too much fuel (excessive smoke, poor performance) carburators spotless, needle and seats good, fuel pump good, no blockage in exhaust. Shut the fuel off it irons out and runs like a bear, turn the fuel on it runs terrible. The crank was checked for index (ok) and we tried swapping the cdi (same results). Anyone run into this before? Could use some input, Thanks

What's the compression (all 3 cyls)? Weak stator maybe? Junk in the air box?

Carburetor floats maladjusted? Air intake restriction (mouse nest)? You may want to test the needle and seats again too, beyond visual.

How about some history? Did this just pop up or are you starting after long storage, or possibly a new sled?

You sure it's fuel and not over oiling?

Did you check your carb sensors. I have heard of that system not working properly and causing timing issues. I have been trying to find out about that but no luck so far. I have heard that that sometimes it even causes the cylinders to heat up and then...boom. I also havn't had any luck finding a proper wiring diagram to bypass it. I am too having problems but mine is just flooding.

Replaced needle and seats, replaced fuel pump, chokes not stuck, floats are good. Still choking out! Could it be something electrical? All the obvious stuff has been done. What is causing this? Thanks

If you're sure it's not fuel or oil, then it could be electrical. How's compression?
