2003 F5...help

has anybody head of a sled over heating from too long of studs and having the side grip plates covering the side heat exchangers? the tunnel was packed with snow so i don't see how the stud length would affect anything there

have you ever tipped the sled on the side for an extened period of time? studs do not effect cooling, if anything they help. as far as the grips they should not effect anything

No it has never been tipped. it actaully has under 500 miles on what will be its 3rd motor. 1st one at 40 miles with a defective oil line. so i sat in febuary for 2 weeks with now sled last year and now the pistons scored becasue the coolent line came off the carbs. My cousin works a the dealer ship and he said the work order had " studs too long for track and grip rails" for the reason it blew the coolent line. and that just didn't seem right.

yes if your studs are to long they will cut open the rear bulk head, you might want to take them out. running board grips wont make your sled over heat..
