Sabercat 600

Hey everyone just bought an 05 sabercat 600 LX. Wondering if anyone else has this sled and what do they think about? Does the remote start really work well?

See ya!

Its very likely that its burning way too much oil right from the factory. Keep a good measure of both the gas and oil consumption for a few trips - then adjust the oil pump accordingly. A number of F'Cats and S'Cats have been coming from TRF in the 35:1 vicinity.

Hey...got about 120 miles on it over the last two weekends. I've gone through about 16 or 17 gallons of gas and used probably a little less than half a gallon of oil. Right now i'm looking at a ratio of about 40 with 16 gallons of gas and .4 gallons of oil or close to 1.75 quarts. Should I screw around with the the oil pump and if yes...what should I do exactly. Or should I let the sled "break in" a little more Seems to be getting better though.

Thanks

Mark

Nice sled but sounds like the gas mileage sucks. I wonder if it will get better with a few more miles of break in.

yeah, the remote works really well. when all your buddies are out pulling, choking and starting their sleds, you can stay inside and just push a button. my buddy has the same sled as yours, and the only thing he has said about it is it goes through gas like crazy. yours should get a little better after break-in though.

Yeah the remote start really is sick. It has a range of 200 feet too. My sled is in a barn and I have to walk a 100 feet down hill to it and now I can just start it up inside the house and get down there and its set to go. It's sweet. I think I'm just going to let the sled break in a little more before I start worrying about oil and gas mixtures. lAlways better to be rich then too lean!
