1991 Arctic Cat Wildcat 700 question

Hey guys sorry for this being my first post, i DO intend to have a intro thread.. But my father in-law is in need for some help on his cat. He picked up a mint 91 wildcat 700, "barn find" Guy said he rebuilt it..he brought it to his guy to have a once over, turns out he pretty much needs a whole bottom end, crank shaft shot, bearings etc..he's PISSED. Now i(we) have been trying to find either, 1. a complete bottom end or 2. a complete motor and just transfer parts..Problem we are running into is, everything we have have found is all EFI, and he doesn't feel like spending the extra money converting it..UNLESS it is possible to just swap the carbs on the motor? Any help is greatly appreciated and i will be sure to post pics of the sled, i'm sure you guys would like to see this thing..i MYSELF couldn't believe how clean it was for something sitting for a few years. Thanks again in advanced!

I would send that crank to John at Northern Crankshaft and have it gone threw! I have a crank and if you pick it up it will likely be just fine for you! But to ship it, I would likely want to ship the case and all, as not to let it shift or move!

how much are we talking? This is on his budget, i'm just trying to help him out..last night we did find a "discounted cat" parts site, added up what he needed and it came to over $550. He pretty much just said he would be better off buying a used complete motor.

I use Country Cat, are you sure you need bearings? They are over $125!
