clutch sprig colors

can any of you tell me the stock spring colors for the primary and secondary on a '98 zr500 and which colors i would need to bring engagement down to around 3000rpm's engages at around 4500
now and is not sutable for the wife for tooling around.

You might want to try a yellow/green spring. The yellow/white will engage in the 4000-4500 rpms. This will lower your rpms on the start but probably not to 3000. That is to low for that sled, but the above spring should get you into the 3's for engagment.

thank you for the second opion d&d, i am not to familier with cat
yet and appreciate all the help. 3000 was probably a little low
but want it lower than it is.

The yellow/green should put you around 3500-4000 range.
