I run champions in all the lawn equipment I work on, NGK in all my sled engines. Never had good luck with Champions in sleds or in Jap engines (Honda, Kawis) for that matter....

American engine=American spark plug. Suzuki/Fuji engine (Cat)=Jap plug. Same with outdoor equipment I work on. American manufacturers recommend Champion. Honda, etc recommends NGK. Most spark plugs offer a cross reference to other brands.
Bosch platinum is another great plug.

If you want a REALLY good plug, not sure if it will fit on sleds though, then you oughta see the one I was running in my kart, $20 a plug. It had no electrode thingy, just a point, it sparked off the piston. I have no clue where you can get them...though I THINK I have the plug number written down somewhere it anyone wants it

I think you need forges pistons to run those. The regular cast piston would eventually pit and get a hole in it from all the heat and "spark contact".

I started working in a lawnmower shop in 1978. For years people would bring in lawnmowers that wouldn't run and it would have a new Champion plug. It would spark in open air, but when screwed in under compression. Never. Throw in a NGK, its off and running. I also think NGK works better in 2-strokes. I used Champions in our 1988 Dodge Daytona race car this year, they help up and were easier to read than Bosch Platnums. But if I go to the store, I get NGK's!!
Also a gas fouled plug, if it is a Champion = Junk. I have let NGK's dry out and ran them again.

This is really funny. You say you run this plug in your kart, but you have no idea where to get them. Where the heck did you get it then? Sometimes you make no sense at all.

Everyone has an opinion on plugs. If NGK is a better plug what do they do different from Champion to make them better. I personally feel that there is no difference. I just wish that someone could give a better explanation than "Champion is junk!"

The plugs for my bike are ten bucks a piece. ngk irridums, and once they foul they are done, I tried cleaning the plugs, but it never works. I have not tried champions and I dont think I ever will. use what the manufacture recomends.

I run ngk iridium plugs in my legends car. The engine builder says there worth 1.5-2 horspower in a 4 stroke 1250cc yamaha 4 cylinder. I get them for 9 bucks a piece. I have not tried a set in my sled though
