Well, you could just tap right off the battery and run a seperate (fused!) line. I wouldn't be in a hurry to tap into existing harnesses if you don't really have to. I have a couple Z's and a Panther 570 and that's the route I plan on taking.

Steve

(of course this assumes you have a battery)

The heated shields from Arctic Cat plug in to an existing plug on the snowmobile ( no cutting required ). The plug is found by taking the plastic cover that has the key in it. Just pull that off and the plug is right there. Don't cut any wires! You are only looking for trouble later on. You don't have to get the AC shield to use it. The only thing that you need to get from AC is the plug that hooks into the snowmobile.

Hey - great info (and from a Yammi guy too).

I've already ordered a shield, and will need to be setting up my 2000 Panther for it. I've had the plastic cover off a few times, but never noticed a plug in there (probably because wasn't looking for it). Do you know what year AC's have the connector like that?
