The drain plug should be uder the chain case. Access from under the snowmobile. It may be tucked under the plastic a little bit.

There should be a plug on the backside of the chaincase between the tunnel and track. Or you can take the bolts off the cover and let it drain into the belly pan. If you tip it up on its side the oil will stay in the cover. I would recommend taking the cover off anyways to inspect the gears and chain.
Another trick is to pull the check plug and insert a cup where the spout is and tip the sled up on its side. 100 ways to do it....just pick what works best for you.

I use a suction gun (about the size of a grease gun) to remove most of it, that way when the cover comes off, there is less mess.

D&D800 hit it on the head, though, take the cover off so you can look at things in there, you may find some things that need attention.
