studding my track

I am going to install a new track on my 98' ZR600EFI. It currently has a .750lug track and I am installing a track that measures just over 1.00. I have some studs that measure 1 3/8". Will this work and what is the best pattern to use and how many should I install? I do mostly trail riding. Thanks for your help.

1.250 might be better, but it depends on how you mesure it! If you mesure the total thickness of the track and the stud, your ok! Only stud the inside web, in a V pattern!96 studs is good! Get a template and mark it all out before you start drilling! Start with the closest 2 then go out in a 4 patern then start over!
