Sometimes the electric start doesn't work - the pinion gear isn't engaging on the ring gear (you get a grinding and skipping from the flywheel). Initially, I thought it might just be the snap ring on the flexible shaft since it was popped off, but I replaced the snap ring and tried starting, but the snap ring popped off again. Has anyone had this issue. Thanks.

No this is a first! The flrex drive has been flawless?? Did you take it completely out and clean and lub it?
