I have a clutch kit coming. I was reading about Reed valves and EFI tuners increasing horsepower. Opinions?

Reeds only affect throttle response and efi tuners are over blown claims.
The real gains come from lots of $s spent on pipes and engine modifications.

How much are you willing to spend?

I was hoping to keep it under 1000. I know pipes get crazy and even then I thought I needed an EFI tuner?

You need a controller box (boondocker is a good one) for certain pipes, like twins, D&D monster single, BMP fatazz. You dont need a controller for the D&D lite pipe, BMP stealth/pipe mod. If you have 1000 to spend, i would clutch it, put a pipe on it, maybe port job? You could even put some 700 jugs on it and get rid of the 600 for under 1000!!

So are EFI tuners good or bad? And upping to a 700 is lil more than I was thinking. Although the BMP stealth pipe would be a great addition. Maybe I'll just install an F-16 engine, throw on a space suit, punch it and pray for the best.

What he's saying is that EFI tuners are only needed with certain pipe setups.
Otherwise, they are a waste of your money.

I think Im going to go with the BMP stealth. That and the clutch kit I have coming should be a good start.

I wouldnt say that they are a waste of money, but if you dont have a pipe or other work done that required a controller, then dont buy one!

BMP stealth, D&D y-pipe and clutch kit would be a good setup. Keep in mind that the clutch kit will have to be a little different with that pipe, not too much though.

How different a clutch we talking about? I ordered the pipe and can and I already have a Hypershift Clutch kit.
