horse power of a arctic cat 550 cougar
i have an 1998 arctic cat mountain cat cougar ,all stock,does anyone have an acurate info on how much horsepower it has

Didn't know they made a Mountain Cat "Cougar" that would be a 500 fan? Maybe more like 60hp!

I believe its actually in the middle about 70hp, which is just enough to pass 80mph.

Not exact but I beleive around 60/70 H.P.
If you really like your machine and would like to move to extreme fun

Oh and I have a Hooper 1035 twin with Jaws pipes @ about 200hp for sale at $3000!

Not if you got KC's 1035 twin 200 hp engine and slapped in there  That would be the fastest Cougar Mt. Cat on record!! (leave the 550 stickers and make it a sleeper  )
