1992 panther 440 deluxe ignition problems..

this sled is new to me, when i got it the ignition switch was disabled. it starts and runs using the pull start but since it had a working electric start at some point i would like to get that back to working order. i tried looking through wire diagrams but couldn't find my answer can anyone point me to a diagram that is more clear, or know what goes where?

what i have:

the ignition switch has 4 positions : acc., off, run, and start. there are four posts on the ignition switch as well, one for batt, one for acc, one for ign and one that is not labeled dead center on the switch. also on the diagrams i have seen show a ground coming from the ignition switch is this necessary? if so where does it get grounded to?

there are four wires in a loom that seem to go to the ignition and they are red, red/white trace, brown, and black/red trace.

currently none of the wires are on the switch the brown and black/red trace wires are connected. the two red wire were on the switch but i forget where they were.

on the solenoid the solid red wire comes from a battery lead, the red/white trace is the small post next to the battery lead, and the post next to the starter lead is brown.

thanks for any help in advance im just trying to get it ready for the upcoming season.

i missed two wires on the relay side of it. if i remember correctly there is a brown and a yellow wire on that side that are just spliced together. at some point somebody just went through it and spliced the heck out of everything. if you can just give me a list of all the wires that are supposed to be there and where they are supposed to go thats fine i can get through it.
