ECU and throttle bodies interchange??

Picked up a 98 AC ZR600 EFI LE XC from a young fellow yesterday. It is missing the euc and throttle body. Unfortunately I do not know if they were sqaure, round or triangle. My question is does it matter at this point? As long as the throttle body and the ecu are the same it should work? Is this correct? Further, Would the throttle body and ecu from a 2000 ZR 500 EFI work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's the injectors and ECU that have to be matched, the throttle bodies are interchangeable as long as the mounting flanges are the same size.

Thanks for the help. Is there one version better than the other or what? Why the three diferent versions? Also any idea if a sqaure ecu and throttle body from a 00 ZR 500 EFI would work on a 98 ZR 600 EFI LE XC? My local cat dealer was not too interested in helping me out with these questions because I was not buying the ecu and throttle body from them. I winder why when the ecu and throttle body are 2000.00 each.

Yes, it would work.
The injector and ecu are matched by the mapping curve.
Usually mapped to engine size. You can have the mapping redone to optimize performance and fuel economy.

I have injectors, ECU, and throttle body for a 97 ZR 580 EFI... All three have a black square.

What part numbers? I have been told that the ones required are very specific because of the first year batteryless start.
