2009 f1

i am looking at a new 2009 AC f1. 1100 cc 4 stroke. my main concerns are, is it way too fast, too heavy and what kind of gas mileage does it get. i like to just cruize down the trails of tug hill and see the sights. dont really need the speed but i'm told this is a smooth ride even if it gets bumpy.

can any one give me info from thier experience?

the place is asking $8200, 1 year warranty.

Well if you are not sure about speed, do not be getting an F1. Those things are quick, and I think turn in at around 165 HP??? Can anyone varify that??

I will not comment on the integrity of the machines, as I have nothing good to say about 'cats from what I have seen in my area.

Are you talking a Z1? The 1056cc 4 stroke or the F1000 the 999cc 2 stroke! If you are Looking for a nice trail sled thats not a powerhouse, look elsewhere!

You don't need power, just trail riding... and you want an 1100??? You're looking in the wrong place. For a smooth trail ride you don't even need to spend much money! The late 90's polaris trail sleds were smooth as any you'll find today.

Perhaps find a left over 660 or 660T?

T660 or Sabre Cat would be a great trail sled.

for cruising a 500 will serve you well. Go a bit newer, like the Sabercat, Classics, Vector GT's, or GSX. You won't need any sled over 100HP for sightseeing since you wont see anything going that quick! A 500 is plenty. Actually, the new Arctic Cat F5 LXR are perfect. They have a great ride, added features, and a top speed of about 85.

Honestly, go with the z1. You only get all 1xx hp when you put it to the bar. You will get good gas mileage and the chassis rides very well from what I've heard. Youll probably thank yourself for getting the z1

I'm entitled to my own opinion, but I have to agree that if you want a smaller sled the st/t 660's are a decent route to go, and you'll still get the 4 stroke perks just not as much hp.

hes talking the z1100 not the turbo z1100

and yes its a pefrect groomed trail cruiser, thats what its made for, it comes in at 120 horsepower. same as a 600 2 stroke. judging by the 8200 price tag this is what you are talking about, not the 1100 turbo that these guys think you are talking about. get it. its a nice reliable comfortable trail cruiser, with a little pep when and if need be. that sled was made to to what you mention, now the 1100 turbo, thats a whole new ballgame. but also 12 grand. the new chassis sure beats the older 660s etc, handles great and is smoooooth. and the 4 stroke motor is much more efficient and reliable compared to its 2 stroke brothers, it compares to a 600 2 stroke power wise. but a totally different powerband (more broad)
