Question 97 ZRT 600 not getting fuel

Im new to this so please bare with me. It has snowed here a few times (none has stuck) but still got my heart beating. None-the-less I decided to start getting my sled ready for the upcoming winter so I can do it when the temps are in the 40s and not in the 20s. I put new plugs in it and fresh gas. Pulled on her quite a few times and nothing. wont even fire. Dumped a few drops of gas in the cylinders and it popped right off then died after a few seconds. Looked around under the hood and noticed a few air pockets in the lines. It didnt matter how much I pulled on it the air pockets wouldnt move. Pulled the plugs and pulled on it and couldnt get any gas coming out the spark plug holes. Im suspecting fuel pump or something else related... Any other ideas? Thank you for any suggestions. Kyle Oh, and also I tried blowing air into the tank while a friend pulled on it. No change.

first check make sure your gas is turned on, then check for any pinched line starting from the fuel tank. make sure your chokes are working properly also. my brother has the same sled and it takes a long time to get the fuel flowing every fall.

Im located in west wisconsin. So far we have gotten about 4 inches spread over 3 snowfalls but its all gone again I've check the and the gas is turned on. Chokes seem to be functioning normal. Also the fuel lines all look good. Nothing is cracked or pinched off. I would have to say that my friend and I combined have pulled on it 200 times or more. Can the "Fuel Pump" go bad from sitting with out being run for several months? Im running out of ideas. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Prime it a few more times and see if that moves the air bubbles. Gas can move through the lines and the bubble can stay right where they are until the engine is running.

You can try pressurizing the tank and see if any fuel moves up through the lines.

Clean the carbs. Take notice of what comes out of the float bowl when you take it off.

Did you drain the carbs last season? If not they are will be green and slimy blocking fuel flow.

I pulled the carbs out and cleaned them. The gas in the bowl looked grey and had a bunch of crap floating in it. Put everything back together and it fired right up! Thank you all for your advice and suggestions. You all saved me money by not having to take it to a mechanic. I definately owe some of you guys a beer. Thanks again....
