dropping 1 or 2 teeth on top gear

hello all just a quick question regarding the the top gear. if i drop 2 teeth on my wildcat how much will it increase my rpms? stock for this sled is 23 tooth and right now i'm running a 24 tooth and getting about 8000-8200 rpms. or should i just go back to stock? thanks for the help.

You're good , peak for this engine is 8200.
Changing the chain sprocket will not affect the engine rpm, it will change the top and low end speed though.

What all have you done to the sled? With lotsa Mods you could go up 1 tooth! If stone stock perhaps drop 1 tooth! This will let the motor get up on the pipe quicker! To adjust your peak RPM You would adjust the driven spring!

haven't done much to the sled except for upgrading the suspention with a 1,25 high performance trail track and 10" carbides. just wanted to know if i droppr to a 22 tooth gear to get more speed how much it would raise my rpms. but think i'll have to do the bushings on the clutch, starting to rattle when idling. if looking at the clutch which hole would give more speed (forward or back?) thanks for the help
