REALLY!
Is it a Pantera, or a ZR?

I could send you my parts (Coil and CDI) and you could put them on your seld and see what the results are??

What do you think? Any suggestions?

I used to have a '98 Pantera with no spark. It would just shut off in the middle of a ride. Sometimes it would restart - usually not. The dealer could not even figure it out, but they were happy to charge me for their time staring at it....

I took it back home and tore it apart. It turned out to be a bad connection in a very odd place. There's a wall between the engine and the gas tank. I'll call it the firewall for lack of a better term. Between the gas tank and the firewall, on the back side (gas tank side) of the firewall was an electronic component (CDI maybe?). On the back side of this component (between component and firewall) was a post with a brown wire bolted to it. That connection was corroded. Cleaning that connection solved the problem. Give this a shot before shipping your parts out.

Good luck with it!

Thanks I will look into that....From just looking at it, it appears that it is a good connection...but it won't hurt to check it again.
I will keep you posted.

Are you looking at the right thing? Unless you already have your snowmobile all torn apart you won't be able to see that connection. The seat and gas tank need to be taken off and that connection is sandwiched between the component and the firewall so you won't be able to see it until you take the component off.

Correct,
I do in fact have the sled apart...the connection looks fine....However, I will clean it up real well and give in another go.
Thanks!
