Can't get suspension back in

OK, I'm a newb. Only had the sled a year. The bearings on the driven shaft when bad so I pulled it apart and replaced the bearings. Now I can't get the suspension to line back up so I can get the bolts in. Is there something I'm missing here??

I can get the front bolts but the back ones were in the second hole on the bracket and I'm not even close to getting that back in. I have a manual but it says to use the front holes. Any for or against using the first or second set of holes or how to get the damn things back in. Thanks.

P.S. I tried laying the sled on it's side like the manual said and I loosened the rear up and slid the axled forward to buy me som slack on the track but still couldn't get it. Thanks for any help.

what kinda sled is it? on my polaris i have to take the springs off so i can move the rear mounting arm to where i need it. on my older skidoo i dont need to though....

i would start with taking the spring off if it's possible, like on the polaris models...

yep...you need to take the spring pressure off of it. I have replaced the shaft that holds the springs in place with a 3/8 threaded rod and slotted the ends of it to get a straight blade screw driver on it so I can tighten one side and have the screw driver ont he other side keeping the shaft from spinning. I can pop the spring ends on and off the shaft easily now when I change a track, take out the suspension for servicing, replace a bearing ect...

Use a ratchet strap to pull the rear section into position (hold it partially compressed).

With the springs not on the tenssion blocks, the rear of the sled in the air pull the susspension back and have a bud put the bolts in! Then put the spring on the block and then raise the front end of spring and put the retainer on!
I made a tool to do it the other way, it's a T bar that I can put the rear part of the spring onto the adjuster block with tenssion!

Thanks for tips

Realized I had a few other worn out parts in there so I'm waiting on them before I put it back in but I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tips everyone.
