I am putting the finishing touches on an 06 f7 efi That I purchased wreckd. I got the complete sled put together yeasterday and tried to start it. (Damn no spark) after a few hours of testing and cursing I decided to sleep on it. This morning I went to my neighbors and took the ECU of of his sled (06 f7) and put it on mine and it started first pull (yeah it lives, and Damn this is gonna be expensive)
My neighbor purchased his sled used last year and it has 04-f7 writen on the bottom of it in white marker. (like it came from a salvage yard)
It had a different part number, but still worked on mine.
Are all EFI ECUs the same? Cause I'm gonna need one.

Not all the same, but figure out the part number and take a look at the ECU I have on Ebay. Send me the part number you need and I will compare. Its from a 97 AC 580 EFI

From like 04 on they all can be remapped! Talk to your local Stealler and they can ship it back and be updated, just for the cost of shipping!

What is a Stealler? I'm guessing you meant Dealer? There aren't any Cat dealers anywhere near Aviston. What dealer do you use Kccats? I had no idea these things can be remaped. Thank you guys for the reply.
