Also, how do i check that the bearings in the other idler wheels are good? I wanna prevent having to change any more idlers, and from them flyin' off!

I'm not exactly sure, but maybe your Dad could help you out since it wasn't exactly your fault that it was sold to you in that condition.

I think if the bearing spins then there still good... and i was readin on a forum that cat put garbage bearings in there sleds, and by 3k miles there pretty much shot.. people were even saying there front bearings were gettin chewed up, which is exactly what happeend to me! I think studs add to the idler wear also, and they can fly off from seizing up im pretty sure.... People that were goin thru there sleds gettinn them ready for the this season even said they just noticed they were missin soome idlers.. so sounds pretty common in AC's.. and yea, my dad will throw me $20

yup, tht explains the idler wear... and i told my dad about the missin idler, he didnt make a big deal about it at all, he said we'd run up to sportmart one day and get it.. then wen my uncle comes over to put them all on, he'll check all the bearings and make sure there ok and all the bushings and everything.. It mite be smart to just replace all the bearings while the skids out.. we'll see wat happens

But still, this all doesnt make sense, cuz where i assume the idlers missing, theres no bearing or anything? could everything just fall, rip off?

Things break....Probably just wear and tear like that false warning with the speedo.

its not missing an idler. some had 4 some had 3. usually it was the zrs that had 3, less rolling resistance. i got 3 zr zls sitting outside and the only one of the zls have 4 wheels. and all the sleds have less than 1.5k. its not a flaw nor is it a problem.

I think it came like that, my brothers 2001 xc 600 edge has only three in the back like that.

ITS STOCK DUDE!!! TRUST ME ITS FINE!!! lol spend your money elsewhere and dont worry about it, you can add a 4th wheel there, but its not necessary. it came from the factory that way. i wouldnt mislead a fellow ac brother and look at my sig, ive had too many.

I went to a local snowmobile parts store, and they said AC doesnt make the green ones anymore?

but, i found some online for $20 in green.. im gunna buy those

ya, i figured its a nice, cheap way to dress the sled up... I also bought the plastic things that snap over the lip on the footwells, they were 8 bucks, easy to put on, and added a nice touch to the sled

funny i was just thinking of getting those but insted Im going to get yellow edge rail grips which are aluminum that pops over the edge of the running board and you rivet them on and they keep you from slipping. only 15$ on ebay and they look cool!
