Strobe Lights

I just ordered the first upgrade for my crossfire, strobe lights! They are neo blue in color and flash 2.5 times per second. I can't wait to try them out! And before I get yelled at, no, I won't use them in a trail. It's too dangerous there.

Saw some neon lights for any sled on craigslist... they look AWESOME!!!! I'm thinking of getting some red ones for my mach 1. They're only like 100 bucks and they look amazing.

My Dad's an electrician and is putting in a switch for me somehow. Now, my crossfire already is about 2 inches higher in the handlebars than my 380, so i'm set there! Hooks are also standard! Headlight covers are illegal here (but then again so are strobes). I plan on putting an orange chrome windshield on at some point, xc sp 500 rider, where did you get your chrome windshield?

Well the strobe lights came in today and I my Dad just touched the wires to my lawn mower's battery. They were not as bright as I thought they would be, but just bright enough where you could not look directly at them. I'm hoping that they will get brighter when they are connected to the snowmobile and because of the mirrors in the snowmobile's headlight casing. Do you think they'll get brighter?

When I went to Vermont this weekend I started second guessing myself. What happens if they're not bright enough to even penetrate the regular headlight? And, because I have to drill a hole in the headlight case, and they're not bright, it will be a disaster. Should I still go through with it?

Yeah I agree. But those holes in the headlight will be annoying to replace if I don't like them!

Holes can be plugged with plastic inserts... Just drill big enough for the wire, but crack the lenses off.... I think they are held on with clips

Yea I guess I should. But I also want to put in neon lights on the running boards or vents. Not sure yet, but its these or strobes. Which?

i would say put them both in. my buddy had some similiar lights, and they were just under his hood (the strobes). even though they don't look bright in the day, they are really neat at night, and do light up really well. he also had neon running lights under his running boards. those looked awesome, but he didn't attach them very well, and well, you can guess what happened.

i have lcd's hooked up all under my hood, i just run them in a series to the batter with a single switch in between. looking to put more in the fall, just gotta find time to go to radio shack and buy about ten/fifteen more!!

They don't run through the cdi, that's ignition parts.
the strobes will run from the same circuits as the lights/tach.

You could just run them from a battery pack.
