I think that '98 Indy trail 500 looks really nice. If has 4800 kms...thats reasonable...most Polaris sleds are in miles as they are made in the USA so double check that....
It looks like someone loves(d) it, dollies under it, stored in the garage etc. I really like the Polaris sleds that we have. Why dont you look at it and if it looks good, try an offer?? I usually look for a machine that someone has cared for. You will know when you see it if it has been looked after.

Here's something interesting that popped up but they want way to much for it. I asked them if they would take any lower and they said the lowest they would take is $2300...who the hell are these people?

he wont sell it for $2300....if he does, I will retire right now and move there to sell used sleds

derek will be keeping his 500 for a long time until he wises up. that sled is out dated by at least 3 chassis. goodluck derek! haha joke.

That ZR has some NICE rear suspension, if the price was lower you'd fall in love with it. The XC still looks a bit steep to me even for Canadian money... it retailed NEW for 1755 American.

I have done quite a bit of research over the last few years on used sled prices in the US vs here in Canada. I agree with you that going across the border fetches you MUCH better deals. That being said, $2500 for a 2000 XC 600 with low miles is actually a good deal in CDN dollars. I am not sure what keeps the prices high here...it is not that there are a lack of used snowmobiles because there's no lack....there are tons in fact. Its just that the market for used sleds in Canada calls for more dough.....

I know a guy who goes to a Polaris/Ski-doo dealer near Syracuse NY and loads up 10-12 sleds.....he brings them back to the Toronto area and makes minimum $1000 profit on each sled. He will not make the trip for less than a grand per sled......thats good money

he does it a couple times a year

Well I sprained my ankle so it will be a few days before I can drive to see one(standard). Which looks like the better deal? The ZR500 or the Polaris XC 600?

The XC will stomp the ZR but the ZR would be a smoother ride.

Here is an updated ad of the XC 600 I am looking at - tell me what you tell think from the pics and is it worth the price? The guy has brought it back from the US which is why he's selling it. To make profit on it I'm sure. Regardless of that, it still appears to be a good deal no?
