Welcome to the forum!
The seal from the head to the cylinder uses two rubber O-rings. It's been my experience that trying to reuse the O-rings usually results in a leak. I would use new ones., but you may be luckier than me

Definitely replace the O-rings. They are like 6 bucks. Well worth the grief of trying to reuse the old ones. Welcome aboard!

Some scratching of the piston skirt is normal.
Unless the compression is low (>100psi), you should have no need to open it up.

Yep, normal scoring. Shows that he needed to allow a longer warm up time though.

Definetly change them when the motor heats up they expand and when it cools they stay expanded so when you take the head off they will pop out and will not fit back in.

Looks like a bit of blow by! For the cost of a set of rings and gaskets, I would atleast freshen the motor! I personally would do pistons too! The cost to do is alot cheaper then once it blows up! And you got plenty of time!!! I would also since you're into it, clean up the transfere ports too!
