Question Suggestions and Opinions...

Alright, this past season I was riding a 2002 Arctic Cat Zr500 X-Country edition, and blew it up at around 3500miles. I do not know what cause the engien to go, the guy that bought it off me said it was the Oil I was using (Amsoil Interceptor)... or it could have been I had it pinned all the time, because im too fast for a 500cc.....
Now, I liked the machine alot, it was easy to throw around on the trails, enough power was there, but not enough for me. I am starting to shop now for the 2010 riding season and I cannot make up my mind...
I was really thinking about getting a thundercat 1000, but for the riding I do it is NOT realistic. I want something FAST, that can FLY through rough trail terrain, and can handle a fair size jump once in a while, and that is decent when boondocking when we get in the powder up at Blue Mountain.... and that will smoke all my friends if we end up on a lake
(friends drive 600 fusion, Formula III 670, Phazer 500, Rev600h/o, and ZRT600...)

I have been thinking about this for a while now...thinking that a Firecat F7 Sno Pro is the Machine for me.... What do u think?

Is there a certain year of the Firecat F7's to be the best produced? what year had the most problems?
pro's and con's of YOUR Firecat?
Based on your experience do u regret buying it? or LOVE IT to DEATH?

Thanks Guys.

Buy a motor off of ebay or craigslist... People are letting them go cheap! Pinning it all of the time would not blow it up... Lack of oil, missing airbox, or no exhaust would blow it.

The 03 F7's had the most problems and recalls. Anything 04 and up should be good to go, although a bit slower than the 03's with the switch to the Diamond Drive. For what you want to put it through, an F7 should be fine.

The 03 F7 is THE Fastest! But if you are looking to be able to flick it around, you may not like it as much as your ZR! The proble with your 500 was most likely the can and jetting! I would recomend a 02-03 ZR 800! As muck hp (140) and better traction, as the F7!
