My budy fell off playing in some powder with his o7 crossfire 800
but the sled never stopped. The throttle stuck and went off a 30 foot cliff.
It is totaled now, Has enyone ever heard of the throttle sticking on one of these machines before.
That sucks!
My question is.... I have a 2004 F7, after reading this it might be wise to install a tether cord. How would I do this?
Is there a way to stop icing of the cables? Thanks !
I feel that guys pain. But i havent totaled mine yet, but my throttle sticks wide f****** open too. Mine is a 2008 M-8. I have had it in the shop 3 times now, and they have no idea what the deal is. Anyone else know of a solution. I am guessing the guys i have been working with are just shy of worthless. OH ya, to yamacatman. NO NOT EVERY THROTTLE STICKS ON SLEDS. There is a something messed up with arctic cat and the carb system. Mine will run fine for about 1 hour, and then once it heats up it starts sticking. It doesnt matter if i am at half throttle or full (mostly at full).
Alot of the arctic cats and some other sleds have cable housing that allows water to get in between the housing and cable. Them when it's ridden enough it will refreeze I'm constanly getting people in the shop with this all we do is put new throttle cables on and half of the time it works.
Tethers help a lot, especially if the rider leaves the sled...
