Question has any one ever had there stator repaired

i'm geting tired of buying new stators at almost $600 a pop every arctic cat i have owned has need a stator i put one in my zl 600 last winter and now my wild cat needs one i talked to a friend of mine and he told me about rm stator the will rebuild/repair my stator for $175 has any one hear ever used them before ?

I was you about 6 months ago and I came to this site with the same question. A guy here called Jerry France hooked me up with a used one with about 1500 miles on it, so insted of 500 for new, I paid like 150, I installed it and the ol zr600 fires right up and hauls balls. I say if your friend do it if he's good at it, it's def worth a try. If not I"m sure we can find somebody here to help out. Good Luck

Stator Corp does a great job, the wire is heavier gauge so the heat doesn't destroy the stator.

If you go visit ArcticChat, they have a couple of pretty good threads on stator issues. A big one is putting more vents into the stator housing to let the heat out. Some guys space the stator housing out with washers, others have drilled a bunch of holes in the housing to let air in/out.

Stator Corp in Mass is ten times better than RM Stator.

I rewind stators (specializing in Cat stators) for $175 and a 2 year warrenty.
