i have a 500cc Suzuki engine in my 86 cougar, the crank was bad so i bought a diffrnt. engine that was suppose to be all there but the carbs, turns out he stripped it before he sent it...then he might as well put it in a garbage bag the way he shipped it, oh well, a learning thing. ok problem= my motor S/N is M50-302619, the one i bought is E50-30940. Also the new one has no rotary valve, does that mean ....mix gas/oil?

Susuki didn't have a rotory valve( rotex) but if you are looking at the oil pump and there is a blank on the back you can likly just use yours. What happened to your original engine? Perhaps you should pull them both apart and make one good one?

after checking things out, i found out about the oil pump and rotary valve and how they r different, thanks anyhow. The first motor broke the crank, not sure how, the new motor is a older model, and dont have the gear on the crank for the oil pump. So for right now i mix the gas i guess.......right?
