2003 f5 good or bad

Hello again,
Back again with another sled to question. 2003 F5 first year cat came out with it along with the other f series. what is anyones thoughts on this machine.. good/bad or indifferent.. what known issues might it have.. or what things may it need.. I know the F7 in this series and year has an awesome motor but the body and rear suspension doesn't seem to hold up over the long haul. I sold my 98 zr 600 and want an up grade.. I've been looking around my area and have an F5 with 2200 miles and a updated clutch about an hour away.. any thoughts or help would be great.
thanks,
Rob

Great sled cousin has one very fast (it's modified though) i dont think youd regret it. All cats are awesome though. Plenty of power but they are a little cold blooded for a sled. if my cousins sits for more than 15 minutes you have to choke it and pull it a few times but it's worth it once you get on it and ride. very big gas tank cap (idk if that matters) for easy fills.

Great Sleds. But make sure the safety recalls (filler neck and steering),have been taken care of,and your all set. Very reliable machines. Got 2 F7s myselfWouldn't trade 'em for anything!

I checked into the rcalls on the F7 and all the recalls have been done except two.. the steering arm (which is still covered by cat) and some bracket for the rear flap that gets damaged from reversing ( minor ). the fuel tank, noise supression, speedometer thingy and rear suspension has all gotten taken care of. I'm still looking into two other sleds but I may be leaning to the F7. 2003 F7 Black and yellow, picked track, reverse nice cosmetics and 1800 miles. asking 3900.00 but I'm sure at this point I could get it for less.
