'90 Wildcat project

I finally got the rusted on secondary off and cleaned up.
While working on it, I noticed that it has a 53 degree ramp in it.
This with the hot setup of the 102 that I have on the 500 fan ought to make it very quick.

Then to get the seat and rest of the cooling system off, I had to drop the track.
The rest of the drive will also be coming out so I can put new bearings in there.

As you can plainly see, I will need to redo all the bearings and shocks in the skid.

The rest of the old cooling system coming out.

Then still more cleaning and some body repair needed for the front end and steering.

That was enough for today (3hrs) as it is getting very humid and uncomfortable to work out in my shop.
Time for several beers.

That is one rough looking sled, it must be nice to give a new life to an old cat.

Yeah, it sat out in the weeds for many years. (I don't know how many.)
I intend for it to be the wife's ride and a spare.
I am putting the engine from my '80 Pantera into it. (500 fan)

When I am done, there will be some parts available.
A pair of fuel pumps and carbs and maybe even some engine parts as well.

I'm looking at a '94 wildcat 700 right now so I can drop the engine into my '96 EXt chassis. I was thinking of putting a 800 or 900 in her but I can get the '94 for 500$. Keep us updated RJ.

Been too busy lately to make any further progress.
Hope to work on it some more this weekend.

I have 2 hoods- 88 and 90 wildcats

private message me, email me at rkime@itol.com, or call me at 920-264-0747.
Keeping one for a spare, will let other go. Price depends on how much work and expense involved in packing and shipping. Green Bay, WI.

At a stand still until I can find a steering post. Mine was so bent that when I tried to straighten it, the cast piece at the bottom broke.

You could have it for free if you could come and get it! I have the sled stripped except for heat exchangers, console with steering bars and post, and front suspension with skis. Ready to throw on pickup and haul to scrap recycler. I would ship the post to you for 10 bucks to remove it, plus shipping cost. I'm guessing about 30 dollars total. As far as I know, the post is perfectly straight. The sled was not wrecked- just worn out.
