I'm going to try to get it done for this season.
The wife and the niece and nephew are bugging me about having it for this winter.

Went to Schenectady today to pick up a 97 ZR skid from SkiDooFormulaMX (Kyle). This is going into my 93, and the skid from that is going into the 90. I just need to check the idler bearings first, otherwise it's just a bolt in.

Oh, I thought it was a 97 skid, even better for me.
Went out and was going to put the skid from the 93 in the frame and found that I need to swap out a rail (cracked), and the entire front shock lower mount (broken).
I have most of the parts that I need to do this except the shock mount assembly.

Not sure the difference between a 90 cat and a 93 cat skid, but that will be a very nice upgrade from the '01 to the '93.

The 90 skid does not have any front shock and the rear springs are pre-loaded with blocks bolted to the inside of the tunnel.
The 93 skid is completely self contained and has 2" more travel and more adjustment.

Had to drill new front holes 2 1/2" forward to make is fit, the back ones were perfect.
Now my old stand is too short by 2".
The usual view everybody gets on the trails.
Made the front sit up better too.

wow nice to see that skid put to work, did you have to do anything to it before you put it in or was it good to go?

I checked the idler bearings that appeared to be worn and wobbly, but were not.
I just added a thin washer to each shaft and that took care of the wobbles.
Had to drill new front holes 2 1/2" forward to have it fit right.
