I have been looking for another sled for my fiance for several months now and I found one I'm interested in. I'd like to get some opinions on the sled prior to making the 2 + hour trip to go see it. I own a 1997 ZRT 600 now and the sled I'm looking at is a 2000 ZR 600 EFI. I don't have a lot of experience with different sleds. I would assume its comparable in power and probably rides nicer. I love the ZRT but I really want an EFI as my second sled. Any thoughts good or bad on this sled? Thanks in advance!

Ride and handling will be comparable to your ZRT.
The EFI will make running and maintenance easier and more trouble free.
It will definitely get better mileage than the ZRT too.

It won't have the power the little ZRT has but it will be a bit lighter! You may find that the ZR is better in alot of ways (except maybe lake raceing?)

Well I purchased the ZR and its like a cadillac compared to the ZRT. I rode them both around the yard for about 10 minutes and the difference is huge. The ZRT is definitely more powerful but its heavier and doesn't seem to handle as well. Plus, in the summer with the heat it doesn't run as well as the EFI ZR. I love both sleds and the ZR is for my fiance to ride when we go. I have a feeling I'll be putting a few miles on it too. The ZRT is definitely more of a race sled with tons of power and a rougher ride. I think the ZR will be a great trail sled and its no dog either. Thanks to all who chimed in. Its been 8 months since I bought my first sled in 20 years and thanks to this site I've learned a huge amount in a short period of time. Bring on the snow! I can't wait!

the zr 600 compared to the zrt.. the zr is a all around great sled... great for trails and handling where the chassis is so light and can be thrown around in the trails the zrt is alright in the trail for a real aggressive rider. and across the lakes forget trying to touch the zrts... but as for you "juice" you wife will love it.. efi's start way easier than the triples do.... hope i helped..
