wiring on 90 cheetah 500 f/c

okay here goes, i tore the engine out of the snowmobile, and put the engine and drivetrain into this dunebuggy im building, and the motor runs fine, and the buggy runs awesome, but now im trying to get the rest of the wiring hooked up, lights, taillight, and battery, and winch, but i cant figure out how to get the darn thing to regulate voltage... if its idling, the light works fine, rev it up a bit and it blows.... i cannot figure out the voltage regulator, and how it gets hooked up...even though it ran just fine this winter
I would like help, maybe a wiring diagram, or just some help with the wiring
thanx in advance..

The best thing would be to take the wiring harness out of the sled and use that for the lights and battery charging.

well i already had the harness out, and i had cut lots of the wires already, as i didnt want a mess of wires hanging all over, and didnt lookat the wires good enough. i figured it out tho, the voltage regulator has two wires, one to go to ground, and the other t's into the one hot wire, and regulates the whole system, thanx anyways
