Asphalt Drags

So, I get bored jus staring at my snowmobile all spring. So I want to get into asphalt drags and I wanted to kno if anyone knew anything about it. I've read some stuff about it and I know you have to lower the suspension and get a cooling system and a slick track and different skis. But if anyone has any experience or knows anything, please let me kno

I've been wanting to set up my ZRT800 for a few years now too! I have a rear skid and a slick, no skis yet, still tryin to decide on what to use? I had more questions on how to set up the clutch and jetting?
But I'm with you it sure looks like a blast! They say my ZRT should turn 10's!!! and at like the 130's!!! Thats haullin!

There is a guy here that runs the asphalt drags. He runs the skiis with the two red wheels. He has his sled setup where the rear is lower for better aerodynamics. He also runs a full roller suspension instead of the glide rails for his track. I can get you more information. just let me know what you want to know.

See if he remembers like a bare minimum for starting asphalt drags. Like with a track, skis, and bogey wheels to support the track and a cooling system and stuff. thanks

Sorry this is Kind of off topic... Was just wondering if you guys looked into the desert sleds they have out or i think they might be custom jobs but some of the videos and pics i saw they look bad ass to me. Its like they put in most of the components to a 4 wheeler front end and added some really nice thick tires to stay on top of the sand. Looked like an insane amount of fun especially if you could change the front end out easily to go back into snow because i don't have any desert around where i live.

It is a bit pricey to get started! Like you say the skis are over $300 the slick is almost 5 with shipping, then you have to build a cool down cart. Have you been on RPM Extreme.com?
