Stevo, I suspect a clutch issue It sounds like to me a clutch problem. If you said it was bogging I would suspect fuel delivery but without bogging I would be looking at clutch possibilities. I have the same sled except it's a EFI and a 95 but basically same and I have no problem getting a handful of throttle. You don't say if it's a EFI, if so, you should be able to grab the throttle and hammer it. Mine will pull the skis up if I do.

KevinsCOF. You might want to drive that EFI before you turn your daughter loose on it. They are very quick acceleration machines. I have the EFI and my wife has a 550 carb and I will tell you right now, it's night and day the way they accelerate. Someone who isn't used to EFI should take it nice and slow to start with and get the feel for it. I went from a carb'd Skidoo summit to my CAT and I had to learn not to mash the throttle because it nearly took me off the sled. I could easily keep up with and pass that Summit with my old CAT. I have kids myself and I don't let them ride my sled unless I am right there to remind them to take it easy. Stay safe and have fun with the EFI. One important note that you may know already. The sled will not perform to it's best unless the battery is fully charged, if it starts acting up, check your battery.

yes CATDRIVER this sled does run good and the EFI makes them very jumpy when you hit the throttle. My daughter does great with it. Has been riding it every weekend all year and she just putters along and never gets in a hurry. But I know what you mean with the EFI when I first got my 700 EFI it dang near threw me off the back cause like a retard I got on it and mashed the throttle to the handle bar. LOL good wake up call.. Ya I found out about that this fall with the battery. It was down to 11 volts and it wouldnt run for crap. Put a new battery in (cause the old one wouldnt hold a charge above 12 volts) and she works like a dream.
