rebuilt carb for friend (5 sled and 4 car rebuilds under my belt)
he said he had fuel going into his vacuum or pulse line. the sled sputtered a couple of times. also had spark trouble but now fixed. didnt try the carb since he fixed the spark. brought the carb back to me to have me look at it. I could not find anything wrong with total breakdown except that the inlet seat lever was about .010 to .020 off. everything else had been professionally cleaned the first time and a new rebuild kit done completely. I am wondering if he mixed up one of the three lines to and from the carb. maybe the return line switched with the pulse vacuum line. any thoughts on this or what else could be the problem. the sled had run beautifully up until parking it a couple of years ago. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you. jaybird
The only thing that can put fuel into the pulse line is a torn diaphragm.

my friends sled was doing the same thing..gas in pulse line...a pump rebiuld solved that, but we had the carbs off and found a broken reed. not sure if your sledhas reeds, but i would check and see if they are cracked or broken.
