i have a 96 wildcat 700 touring sled. i was out riding it today and as i accelerate i get a jerking feel in the sled. it feels like the track is hitting the tunnel but it will jerk right when i take off with the sled, and then again when i'm going 40 or so. if i start off slow, i don't get the jerking at all. is this caused by the track being too loose? what are other possible causes? thanks for your help!!

I had the same issue with a snowmobile. My issue was the track was too loose. adjust the track before it skips over like mine did and you have to adjust it on the trail at night.

Do others reading this agree with this? or could there be something else i should check for?

Track tension, then make sure the chain is adjusted in the chaincase.
