2001 Arctic Cat POwder Special 700 - Cutting Out

2001 Arctic Cat Powder Special 700....

Buddies sled was working well, and hadn't had any problem this season. Yesterday it cut out when riding, and was difficult to start. Once we got it started it barely idles and/or cuts back out when he begins to ride.

Let it sit overnight and tried it again. Same kind of thing...kinda hard to get going but once it starts it barely idles and if you get the rev's up it dies back down or cuts out after a little bit

Any thoughts or ideas?
Any Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

OK, the other option is that the fuel pump is not functioning right.
Maybe the "smart valve" (fuel pick up) is partially clogged too.

try disconnecting the kill switch, start it, see if it runs any better. some zr/zl's had bunk kill switchs and causes the sled cut in and out and not run properly

If you unplug the wires from the ignition switch, you will need to jumper them together to run.
