Question 94 prowler 440 EFI dumping fuel!!!

Hello all, I have just picked up a 94 prowler 440 EFI, my first sled ever. I put a new battery in it since it has been sitting for the past 3 years. It turned over and ran, at least idled well. I finished putting the exhaust on that the previous owner took off. I then put the sled in it's side to get the old gas out. After that it started not to run at all. It has spark and is getting A LOT of fuel! It will hardly idle. I chased all the wires and all connections, nothing is wrong there. When it is running it barely keeps running. I pull on the throttle and it dies on it's face. I checked the cylinders and they were overloaded with fuel. I let the fumes out and tried it? Since this is my first sled I need a little help. Heard good things about this forum so here I am. I have a full garage and use to work on cars way to much! So I have some knowledge when it comes to motors, just not 2 cycles and sleds So any idea's on bad parts or what I can test to see if it works let me know, thanks

did you shut of the fuel before you tipped the sled? it probably drained from the carbs into the crank case. maybe just try to keep it running to burn the fuel out.

EFI Usually an EFI sled doesn't have that problem? There is a fuel presure regulator and a return hose, perhaps they got pluged up? Or a sensor came up pluged? Hows the compresion? Plugs are dripping wet and black?
Oh and welcome to the snow show!!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I let it run for some time yesterday and got out the fuel that was in the crank but it still runs sloppy. And yes, when I pull the plugs every time they are black and dripping wet!!! I also blew out the return hose just for a better piece of mind. The only thing I didn't check was the fuel pressure regulator. I will try that later today. But with the spark plugs being wet and black, does that have any importance or mean anything? And the compression is great! Thanks again for your help, I just can wait to get this thing running get out there!!
